All I do is update....

Below is the view from my dining room right now. Lot's of snowin' and blowin'!

Let's see...it's the end of Oct...what have I been up to? Currently I'm watching Beard make lunch that involves squash, it might be soup.
Beard and I have been swimming laps during lunch (well, lunch for people who have normal schedules). I usually swim about 30 mins then take a leisurely shower and read while waiting for Beard to finish up. Speaking of reading, I've finished The Girl With series. Good stuff. I'm normally not a mystery or series person and I made it all the way through so that's saying something. Currently I'm reading Fair Maiden by Joyce Carol Oates and enjoying it.
Back to working out. I've gone to Zumba twice now. I know this is a surprise, but it's true. Elena, a houseparent at work, told me I should go to "Mexican dancing class" so I met her there and it was Zumba. I don't have a body that works the way the instructor's does but it's fun and I laugh a lot at myself and I sweat so it all works out.
I've also been crocheting again. At least 3 of my friends/co-workers are expecting and I need something to do while we watch Deadwood so crocheting it is! And, it makes me feel productive.
Beard has started brewing beer again, first batch should be ready much later that I would like it to be.

We are also still receiving Full Circle Farm boxes each Thursday and are making good use of our organic fruit and veg--by that I mean we are eating it all. It's really nice making your list from the comfort of your couch. And, it's a little like Christmas every Thursday because we can never quite remember everything we ordered. Then Beard gets to be creative making it into delicious meals.

Here are some pics of what I did and did not blog about:

I ate Eskimo food. Our friend Opik invited Mark and myself over to eat traditional Eskimo food and we gladly accepted the offer.

Chris and Lauren took a wee boat ride from Brevig to Teller and then a LONG 4-wheeler ride from Teller to Nome to get their marriage license and do some shopping. While they were here, we had dinner at Katie's.

All ready for the ride back!

I'll save more for another time. Now it's time to finish off my book!
